Sri Lanka also known as Daham Island has faced constant threat from losing its heritage as a santuary for Buddhism. The need for us Buddhists to step up to preserve and secure a future for Buddhism has never been more greater.

The proposed facility would provide a strong foundation for the monks to practice religion, educate themselves and perform social services effectively. From laying its foundations of "Sastrananda Pirivena" you have the opportunity to become a valued member, friend and a companionate donor. The initial step will involve providing residential facilities to approximately 30 monks who will undergo pirivena education. The proposed site has an area of about 6000 square feet and is expected to cost around SLR RS.30 million which works out to
about SLR RS.5000 a square feet. Considering that even the great pyramids were built stone by stone, the smallest contribution you make will create a big difference in realizing this noble cause. So please take the initiative and contribute to this righteous effort.
